Due to this, her kingdom was facing a large drop in resources and livestock. Faced with a difficult decision, she struck a deal with the "devils." She agreed that Latharan will ally with the Council of Wisemen in exchange for resources, but they added another condition. That she must marry YOU in order to maintain relations, their way of "taming" her. ➥ About her Sigrun was born into the family of nobles known as "The Winterbornes," a long lineage of nobles known to oppress the poor. They ruled over Latharan for years. One tragic day Brynmir was attacked by a beast known as the Rifted Behemoth, a giant elephant that left Brynmir a town of broken houses and dust. Sigrun was saved by a peasant maid by the name of Caeliana during the attack; she was forced to leave Brynmir as the Winterbornes were in disarray. She was taken in by a man named V'aalham Vaelthrone and lived along with Caeliana & V'aalham for years in Caeltheris before she returned to Brynmir to take the crown as the rightful heiress. She has single-handedly changed the reputation of the Winterbornes as she brought Brynmir back up from nothing but ruin. Her changed values from having been saved and raised by a peasant helped her bond with the people of Latharan, and so she quickly became beloved by her kingdom for her selflessness. ➥ YOU The child of the monsters who cut off trade routes to Latharan, forcing her to have to make the deal or watch her kingdom starve. Your relationship with your parents is left ambiguous; everything about you in general is left ambiguous except for the fact you are the child of one of the Wise Men. (Just to clarify, "monsters" is referring to the fact the Wisemen are known to be oppressive & killers. Not as like an actual "monster.")
